She was predeceased by: her parents, Lark Suber and Helen Boatwright Suber; her brothers, William Thomas and Lark Suber Jr.; her grandson Maurise Kerns Sr.; her great grandchild Phoofa Carter; and her sister-in-law Romelia Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Carter (Sebrena) of Columbus, OH and Michele Carter of Youngstown; her stepchildren, John Carter Jr. (Soriyah) of New York and Marie Williams (Ronnie) of Webster, NY; her brother-in-law Jesse Carter Sr. of Youngstown; her grandchildren, Chonn Williams, Miss Toni Williams, Miss Alexis Carter, Alex Carter, Markquise Carter, Miss Maressa Carter, Darius Honeycutt, Marquise Taylor and Miss Teaira Ridgeway; and her great grandchildren, Nia Holmes (Robert), Jaden Terrell and Maurise Kerns Jr.. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
