We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2025, at the age of 81, James Bennett of Columbus, Ohio, born in Sumter, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Lee and James Bennett, Sr.; and his grandmother Janie Albert. He is survived by: his cousin Dorothy Tanner; and his friends, Okera Marshall, Christine and Charles.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service (1370 E Main St, Columbus, OH 43205). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
