He was predeceased by: his parents, John R O'Brien and Thressa Henry O'Brien; and his siblings, Patricia Haberman and John R. O'Brien II. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie; and his children, John L. Smith, Steve Smith (Michelle), Dianna L. Casto (Mike) and Scott Smith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the O. R. Woodyard South Chapel (1346 S High St, Columbus, OH 43207). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
