He was predeceased by: his parents, Edison Perry and Mildred Ferrin (McClure); his stepfather Chris Ferrin; and his siblings, Christy Ferrin and Jack Perry.

He is survived by: his children, Tami Perry (John Lindsley), John Perry, Eddie Perry (Alice), Amy Perry (Jeff Huhn), Nick Perry (Kristen) and Natalie Krell (Brad); his grandchildren, JJ Lindsley (Erica), Stephanie Lindsley, Christopher Neel, Paige Perry, Zach Perry, Caleb Perry, Logan Perry, Haley Huhn, Payton Krell, Lily Krell, Mila Krell and Jace Perry; his close friend Brenda Bodo; and his pet Layla. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
