With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Wendell Carmichael of Columbus, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Beryl Laurene and William Clarence Carmichael; his wife Ruby Mumaw; his siblings, Judith Jones, Myra Lynn Carmichael, Lora Carmichael and Anthony Carmichael; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Ford.
He is survived by: his children, James (Danni), Aaron (Aurora), Claudia Merritt (Anthony), Jason (Latoya) and Christopher; his siblings, Patrice (Paula) and Lois Ford; and his sister-in-law Irma Carmichael. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
