With sadness, we share the passing of Janet Mae Rivera of Columbus, Ohio. Janet, born on October 8, 1974 in Amherst, Ohio, passed away on September 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lois Lassen and Alfred Lassen. She is survived by: her husband Luis Rivera; her children, Ashley Rosso and Karina Dorman (Joseph Dorman); her grandchildren, Cambree, Addie, Brynlee and Margo; her stepchildren, Yarely Rivera Burgos (Maria Calderon), Saheliana Rivera Burgos and Yarell Rivera Burgos; her sisters, Jennifer Jacovetti (John Jacovetti) and Patti Richard (Pete Richard); and her pets, Rachel and Phoebe. She is also survived by many nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clintonville Chapel (4341 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Buckeye Bulldog Rescue.
