He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lawson and Ruth Lawson; his wife Mary Catherine "Katie" Lawson; and his grandson Gabriel. He is survived by: his son Brian; his grandson Garrett (Paris); and his brother-in-law Jim Kern (Kathy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Crossroads United Methodist Church (1100 S Hague Ave, Columbus, OH 43204). Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services (3030 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43204).
