It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Stevens (Columbus, Ohio), born in Elgood, West Virginia, who passed away on November 24, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Grant Stevens and Doretha Stevens; and his siblings, Crockett B., Cecil K., Edward, William R., Theodore, Curtis, Leon Stevens and Sylvia Richardson.

He is survived by : his wife Exie Stevens; his children, Marilyn Stevens (Gaynell), Jennifer Stevens, Joseph Stevens and Anthony Williams; his granddaughter Christina LeGrant; his great grandchild Jerry Davis; his sister Betty Davis of Bluefield, WV; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Brown of Akron, AL, Martha Williams of Akron, AL, Sandra Williams of Akron, AL, Jacqueline Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL, Menthorn (Anna) and Leon (Mary); and his cousin Bobbie Lamar-Chambers of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
