He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McClurg and Elsie McClurg (Ridder); his son Jeffrey McClurg; and his girlfriend's son Ty Devault. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher McClurg (Martina) and Joel McClurg; the mother of his children Kathleen Hanat McClurg; his grandchildren, Tyler, Joel, Duncan, Xander, Katelyn and Corinne McClurg; his daughter-in-law Martina; his girlfriend Judy Newton Devault; his girlfriend's children, Lisa Staten and Robin Devault; Ashley, Audrianna, Jacob, McKenna and Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Columbus Humane Society, causes close to Joel's heart.
