He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gessells and Ruth Gessells; his wife Martha; his daughter Krista (Johnny); and his grandson Cody.
He is survived by: his brother Dick; and his sons, Rick (Crissie) and Jeff (Ann). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
