He is survived by: his wife Deena Davis-Hughes; his children, Carol Price, Diane Moore (Victor), Michael Hughes and Jonathan Davis; his siblings, Harold Hughes (Rossetta), Aletha Groce and Ella May Johnson; and his grandchildren, Latrice Hughes, Leah Cooper, Michael Hughes, Bryant Hughes, Terrell Moore, Ty Moore and JaNiyah Davis. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
