John Johnson Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of John Johnson of Columbus, Ohio. John, born on May 27, 1949, passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Family, friends, and acquaintances remember John for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. John’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon O. Johnson and Louise A. Johnson (Heller); and his nephew William Ford. He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara Ford (Steven) and Monica Johnson; his nephew Michael Ford; his niece Heather Ford; and his great-nieces, Megan Easterday and Ella Jacobsen.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Agatha Church (1860 Northam Rd, Upper Arlington, OH 43221). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Monsignor Kennedy Parish Hall, Northam Road.

Johnson's memory may be made to the Diocese of Columbus Catholic Social Services' Our Lady of Guadalupe Center.
