He was predeceased by: his parents, John Risteter and Francis Risteter. He is survived by: his close friend Richard Machinski; his siblings, Nancy Pilla, Joel Risteter, Kevin Risteter, Edward Risteter, Ann Smell, Mary Beth Risteter, Kathryn Harlemann and Margaret McCallum; and his great-aunt Grace Mikolajczyk. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
