He is survived by: his children, Chris (Brian Buerkle), Kathy (Mark Swies), John, Jr. (Cathi) and David; his grandchildren, Sylvia Sapp, Luke Sapp, Jonathan Swies (Sarah), Dustin Swies (Cortnie), David Swies and Chuck Byble (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Devin Sapp, Anthony Rivera, Alex Rivera, Emma Swies, Grace Swies, Oscar Swies, Alba Swies, Parker Swies, Aiden Swies, Ellie Swies, Lincoln Byble and Aria Byble.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
