He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Thomas and John E. Thomas; his son Greg; his siblings, Connie R. Thomas, Cindy Hunter, Brian, Wayne and Tom Thomas; and his nephew Philip "KoJack" Donaldson.
He is survived by: his children, John J. Thomas (Linda) and Kimberly; his grandsons, Mason and Cody; and his sisters, Roxie Bohn and Peggy Hillard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
