With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Vansickle (Columbus, Ohio), born in Apple Grove, West Virginia, who passed away on September 23, 2021 at the age of 91. He is survived by: his sister Ernestine Blake; his children, Sue Cannistra (John) and Roger VanSickle; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Micaiah, Ethan Embrey and Madison Hartman.

“John was a light in so many people's lives. You could see it in his eyes every time you met up with him. He always had a smile and warm greetings and concern for everyone around him. His golf cart rides were especially memorable because of the fun they provided for his riders and John, as well. I personally was grateful for the friendship between John and my dad, Denis. It was a source of comfort and belonging that is hard to find in later years. May God bless and comfort your family.”
