He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Shea (Abbot); his children, Mary Jessica "Jessie" Shea (Amanda Ingwersen), Mary Ellen Hewitt (Bradley Hewitt), Owen Kelly, Matthew Munro Shea (Katie Brown), Mary Angela Igel (Daniel Igel) and Michael Conner "Micky" Shea (AnneMarie Shea); his grandchildren, Madison Hewitt, Munro Hewitt, Miles Shea, Olive Shea, Mary Olesia Hewitt, Elliot Shea, Gabriel Hewitt, Mary Brigid "Bridie" Hewitt, Theodore Igel, Mary Arabella Hewitt, Mary Louise Shea, Patrick Henry "Hank" Hewitt, Mary Alice "Allie" Igel of Orin, Colette "Coco" Hewitt, Augustin "Gus" Igel, William "Billy" Shea and Frank Shea; and his sisters, Mary Ann "Annie" Wise and Mary Katherine "Katie" Hansen. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home (403 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (280 N Grant Ave, Columbus, OH 43215).
