He is survived by: his wife Leslie Champion; his daughter Heather Champion (James); his granddaughters, Gracie Hess and Hannah Cureton; his great grandchild River Hess; his brother Charles Ray Champion; his parents, Henry H. Champion and Janie Elizabeth East Champion; and his parents-in-law, Howard and Pamela Friend. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home - Columbus (4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 6959 Warm Springs Rd, Midland, GA 31820. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeview Memory Gardens (4310 N AL-1, Phenix City, AL 36867).
