She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennie Tedeschi Duren and William Lee Duren; her daughter Kimberly Ann Rendon; and her brothers, Robert Lee Duren and William Lee Duren, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Rendon Osborne (William Osborne), Charles Russell Rendon (Debbie Rendon) and Robin Rendon Sims (Steven Sims); her grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Kyle, Jason, Nathan, Gregory, Sarah, Charles, Tonya, Dakota, Chase, Elijah, Braydon, Parker and Graycn; Talyn, Nora and Ronan of Joseph, J. J.. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

There will be no formal service but rather the family will be joining together soon for a loving memorial tribute to Joy's life and legacy, a time honored tradition.. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that anyone who would like to join in this remembrance to make a donation in Joy's name to Pelotonia.org and their fight to end cancer.
