He was predeceased by : his mother Alice Applin; his son Brandon Thornton; and his father Rev. Kenneth B. Applin. He is survived by : his children, Juanita Applin, Juan Applin Jr., Anthony Proctor, Richard McMahon, Timothy McMahon, Ernest Gordon III (Imaculate) and Shawn Gordon (Kristy); his siblings, Rev. Kenneth L. Applin (Sheila), James Applin (Alverda), Wanda Oliver (Henry) and Marylyn Tyler; and his close friends, Terri Thornton, Sharon Applin and David Schwann. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 45 great nephews and nieces.
