He was predeceased by: his parents, Osbenny Pitts and Dezola Pitts; his wife Addie; and his siblings, Osbenny, Grant Pitts and Jessie Cameron.
He is survived by: his children, Michaeline Davis, Madelon Stapleton, Julius Pitts Jr. and Jeffrey Pitts. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
