She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold C. Smith, and Dorothy Smith, Sr.; her son Gregory M. Ryan; and her sister Gail Smith. She is survived by: her husband Michael F. Ryan; her children, Jennifer L. Nelson and Jacob M. Ryan; her brother Harold C. Smith, Jr. (Diane); her brother-in-law Kevin J. Ryan (Angie); and her pets, Maggie and Marley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
