She was predeceased by: her parents, David Russell "Russ" and Miriam Forsythe (Harrod); her husband Ralph H. Root Jr.; her in-laws, Ralph H. Sr. and Ann Root (McClintock); and her siblings-in-law, Joan McElheny, Norman McElheny and John Stiffler.
She is survived by: her sister Sandy Miracle (Dave); her stepchildren, Beth Maisenbacher (Chris), Ralph Root III (Peggy), Wesley Root (Cindy) and Bradley Root (Kynthia Droesch); her stepgrandchildren, C. J. Maisenbacher (Megan), Katina (Nick Siegert), Joshua Root (Jessica), Justin Root, Zachary Root, William Root, Emalie Root, Maxwell Root and Leona Droesch; her stepgreat-grandsons, Alexander Root and Lucas Maisenbacher; and her nephews, J. D. and Joel Miracle. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews and cousins.
