He was predeceased by: his son Ryan David Butcher; his parents, Thurmond and Ora (Cline); his siblings, Betty Frank (John), Doris Collins (James), Helen Sly (Richard), Donna Watson (Grady), Joe Butcher and Marsha Melvin; and his brother-in-law Joe Blankenship.
He is survived by: his wife Anne; his son Wade (Laura); his granddaughter Megan Butcher; his daughter-in-law Michelle Butcher; his grandchildren, Hunter, Lea, Deven and Dakota; his siblings, Carol Blankenship and Dwight David Butcher (Sharon); and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Butcher, Sue Butcher and Steve Melvin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (55 Pasadena Ave, Columbus, OH 43228). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
