We announce the death of Kerrie Doris Collins in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 73. Kerrie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her father Ernest Reed; her son Curtis Gindratt; and her mother Annie Marie Newman (Brown). She is survived by: her children, Jamila Collins and Rivell Collins; her grandchildren, Lauren Gindratt, Justyn Harper and Truth Collins; her sister Delores Saunders of San Antonio, Texas; her siblings-in-law, Patricia Collins, Carolyn Murphy, Debra Collins, Robert Murphy, Donnie Collins and Richard Collins; her nieces and nephews, Yolanda Hopewell (Richard Hopewell), Zakiya Rhodes (Donte Rhodes), Daryll Lockridge (Beth Lockridge), Faron Lockridge (Dana Lockridge), Tau Murphy and Brandon Lockridge (Rachel Lockridge); and her cousin Lyssa Placide of Abilene. She is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church (3161 E 5th Ave, Columbus, OH 43219).
