With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kitty Joan McKeel of Columbus, Ohio, born in Cataula, Georgia, who passed away on March 18, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bennie Forrest and Martha Kate Allen Forrest; her husband John Charles McKeel; her children, Martha Lynne McKeel Walker and David Mark McKeel; her daughter-in-law Karen Pollock McKeel; her grandson Steven Charles McKeel; and her siblings, William Forrest and Martha Burris.
She is survived by: her children, Melonie McKeel Bailey (Donnie), Kitty Joandra McKeel McKelvey (Richard) and John Charles McKeel Jr.; her brothers, Joe David Forrest and Steven Lawrence Forrest (Nancy); her cousins, Diana and Adair Mulkey; and her caregiver Mattie Richardson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gentiva Hospice in honor of Kitty.
