It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Charles Gaba (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on September 29, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gaba and Tillie Gaba; and his sisters, Joanne Gaba Dowling and Harriet Gaba Drissman. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Gaba; his children, Janet Hazel Gaba and Aaron "Harry" Gaba; and his brother Arthur R. Gaba. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“Dear Elizabeth and family, I was very saddened to learn of Lawrence's passing. We did not know each other well, but spoke many times at kiddush at Agudas Achim. He was bright, he was zany, and he developed an affection for our granddaughter, who could then be seen at services fairly regularly, pre-Covid. He even made her a wooden car. We were very touched by this. I will miss him for his zaniness and his caring. Sincerely, Rabbi Melissa Crespy”
