He is survived by: his wife Betty Merrick (Downey) of Columbus, Ohio; his children, Lila Penner (Bruce) of Carlton, Lynn Merrick of Columbus and Lesley Merrick of Columbus, Ohio; his grandson Ben Penner (Melissa); his children, Dylan, Jake, Carter of New Berlin, Wisconsin, Andrea Hlasny (Jim) of Waukesha and Ryan Penner (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, Lincoln and Layla of Zanesville; his son Doug Merrick (Juliann); his grandson Aiden of Jonesboro; his son Jeremy Merrick (Eric); his grandchildren, Aubree and Beckham of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his siblings, Jim Merrick of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Jane Argabright and Doris Simpson of Jackson County, Ohio; and his daughter-in-law Linda Merrick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
