We announce the death of Lawrence Woerner (Columbus, Ohio), born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on October 11, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence C. Woerner and Ruth Stacey; his former wife Margaret "Peg" Underwood; his wife Nancy McSweeney; his brother Mark Stacey Woerner; his son Michael Woerner (LouAnn); and his stepdaughter Mickey Heckman (Craig).
He is survived by: his siblings, Vickey Wagner, James Woerner (Diana) and Therese McGarity (Thomas); his children, Lawrence W. Woerner (Rosie), Mary Beth McCormick (Luke) and Susan Steigerwald (David); his grandchildren, Lawrence A., Philip Woerner (Vanessa), Daniel (Eva), Brendan Shanahan (Sophia Henneberg), Drew Steigerwald (Jess) and Stacey Tabbaa (Adam); his great grandchildren, Stella, Emmet Shanahan, Ada, Sibylla Henneberg Shanahan, Nola Steigerwald, Rey, Matthias and Rosalind Tabbaa; and his stepchildren, Tracy Morgan, Sean (Joan), Marty (Jean), PJ McSweeney and Kate Pishotti (Jason). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (2777 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43209). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
