He was predeceased by: his parents, Isidor Almasanu and Malca Almasanu; and his siblings, Tzili Rudich and Solomon Almasanu. He is survived by: his wife Gerda Almasanu; his children, Anny Hoffman (Eric) and Benjamin Almasanu (Wendy); his grandchildren, Aaron (Melissa), Jordan (Nicole), Noah, Maxwell and Gabriel; and his great grandchild Aria.
Lazar was a staunch supporter of Israel and long-time member of Beth Jacob Congregation where contributions in his memory may be made.
