Lelani leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lelani’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Lelani will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

She was predeceased by: her grandfather Larry; her great-grandparents, Richard Gaston, Lonny Welch and Barbra Gaston; and her great-great-grandparents, Robert Holmes and Almetta Holmes.

She is survived by: her parents, Kennedie Slaughter and Micheal Slaughter; and her grandparents, Sye Slaughter, Veronica Williams, Freddy Slaughter and Vernon Smith. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, God parents, cousins, great grandparents and many other dear friends and family.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schoedinger Funeral Services (5360 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43232). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
