He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence D. Merrick, Sr. and Betty L. Merrick (Downey) of Columbus, Ohio.; his brother Lawrence D. Merrick, Jr.; and his grandparents, Frank Merrick of Jackson, Ruie Merrick (Fairchild) of Wellston, Albert and Ethel Downey (Harrison) of Coalton.
He is survived by: his sisters, Lila Penner (Bruce) of Carlton, Linda Merrick (late Larry) of Blytheville and Lynn Merrick of Columbus. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home (28 Harding Ave, Jackson, OH 45640). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
