She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Richard and Viola Mae Wilson (Barnette); her siblings, Alan, Samuel Wilson, Marva (Berry), Antionette (Simmons), Marjorie (Estes), Charlotte (Bell) and Sylvia Wilson (Bridges); and her brother-in-law Lawrence David Smith Sr..
She is survived by: her children, DeAngela, Lawrence David Jr. (Sheila), John Kennedy Smith and Lori King; her grandchildren, Allen, Ashley, Jasmine, Isaiah and Elijah Smith; and her sisters, Viola and Cathrine Wilson (Bridges). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
