He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Rose and Lucinda Rose; his wife Patricia Rose; and his siblings, Barbara Jean Pernell, Cecil James and Thurman Rose.

He is survived by: his children, Pam (Kevin), Tim (Tina), Theresa (Shawn) and Shelly (Doug); his brother Homer Rose; his grandchildren, Tom, Robbie (Serina), Desirae (Ian), Erik, Destanee, Cierra (Mike) and Courtney; and his sister Jody Kay. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
