It is with sadness that the passing of Marilyn J. Richter of Columbus, Ohio is shared. Marilyn, born on July 30, 1933, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Marilyn will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Marilyn by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Marilyn is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Marilyn’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul J. Miller and Elva Miller (Bayes); her husband Ralph L. Mahaffey; her daughter Crystal Adkins; and her brother-in-law Gordon Bersebach.
She is survived by: her sister Phyllis Bersebach; her son-in-law Rodney Adkins; and her nephew Keith (Ellen).
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greenlawn Cemetery (643 Eastern Ave, Chillicothe, OH 45601).
Memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn's name to Shriners Children's Hospital.
