He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Greenberg and Fannie Greenberg; his siblings, Joe Greenberg (Annabelle), Larry Greenberg and Evelyn Hoffman (Meyer); and his brother-in-law Sanford Slaven.

He is survived by: his wife Maxine Weisman Greenberg; his children, Alan Greenberg (Shelley), Lori Greenberg Tolchin (Edward) and Bobbi Greenberg; his sister Reva Slaven; his sister-in-law Barbara Greenberg; his grandchildren, Zach Tolchin, Dodi Tolchin and Jordan Greenberg; his stepgranddaughter Cathy Pattap; and his close friends, Nancy and Mel Martin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
