She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Wilder and Daniel Wilder; her husband Robert L. Fairchild; and her granddaughter Amber Garcia (Mary). She is survived by: her siblings, Judy (Jim), Larry (Cathy), Barbara (Donald), Gary (Mary Anne), Marilyn (Jerry) and Jack (Jenny); her children, John Chapman (Cathy) and Jodi Sedlock; her grandchildren, Jessica Sedlock (Jerry), Stacy Smith (Jim), Daniel Sedlock (Shannon), John Chapman (Sarah) and Steven Chapman (Hillary); her great grandchildren, Juan, Isela, Theo and Louis; her close friends, Andy Buechel and Jeanne Frear; and her pet Sammy. She is also survived by one great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews.
Because Mary Ellen loved and supported animals, the family kindly requests the consideration of donating to your local animal shelter/rescue or the Fairhope Hospice Pickering House of Lancaster (https://fairhopehospice.org) which provided Mary Ellen and her family exceptional comfort and care.
