He was predeceased by: his father George O'Neal. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Brooke" Christensen O'Neal; his mother Sompit "Sunny" O'Neal; his sister Chrissie Karuna; his nieces and nephews, Jett, Aamah and Mannie Williams; his in-laws, Bill, Dotty Christensen, Nathan Christensen (Tanya) and Eva Byram (Jonathan); and also, Violet, Remy, Elyas and Daniel. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to L'Abri Southborough, a space of hospitality and intellectual discourse, where he spent many study terms. (southboroughlabri.org).
