She is survived by: her granddaughter Angela "Tink" Thompson; her aunt Mary Jane Via of Martinsville, Virginia; her nieces, Donna Blalock, Valarie Washington and Geneva Foster; her nephew Thomas Foster; her grandchildren, Katherine Cunningham, Michaela Bauuman, Aprile Curry, Shakini Gillespie, Kimberly Morale, Keisha Hill of Houston, Texas, Jordan Martin, Garland Williams Jr. and Rawn Bosley, MD (Shannon); her daughter Latonya Canady; her close friends, Melvin Griffin, Ralph Griffin Jr. (Kathy) and Ronald Bosley (Sabrina); her nieces, Inga Smith and Sharon McGowan; her cousin Fitzhugh A. Mayhan of Martinsville, Virginia; and her friends, Jean Wallace and Wendy Steele of Wesley Church. She is also survived by extended family, including her best friend.
