It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Callahan (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michael Callahan to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Callahan and Mary Callahan (Mike); his brother Tom; his sister-in-law Beth Callahan; his parents-in-law, George and Katie Holzapfel; his son-in-law Tony Albarano; and his nephew Andy Holzapfel.

He is survived by : his friend Tom Scholl; his wife Jane Callahan (Holzapfel); his children, Michelle Callahan, Marc, Toni Callahan, Matt and Suzi Callahan; his grandchildren, Erin, Ryan, Colin Chancey (Anna), Danny, Katlyn (Joe Schoettmer), Casey, Mike Callahan, Sydni, Joseph, Bridget, Ellie Callahan and Gpa; his in-laws, Ruthie, John Fortkamp, Mary Allen, George and Ann Holzapfel; and also, Patrick, Katie (Jeremy Greenwald), Graham and Mike.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home (4661 Kenny Rd, Columbus, OH 43220). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (20 E Dominion Blvd, Columbus, OH 43214).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests in celebration of Mike to Bishop Watterson High School's Monsignor Edward Spiers Scholarship (https://catholic-foundation.org) (Monsignor Spiers was Mike's Uncle) or Immaculate Conception Football Program.
