She was predeceased by: her parents, Maggie and Benjamin Mixon. She is survived by: her siblings, Thomas, John, Stella, Alberta and Margaret; her former husband Edward Gilliam; her children, Edward Jr. (Rebop), John, Michael and Willetta Was; her significant other Geno Green; her children, Geno, Jr., Tyrone and Pamela Bradley; her sister Sarah Clark; her stepsiblings, David Gilliam and Tina Bradshaw; and her grandchildren, Stacy (SI), Williams, Tina Darden (Bowie), Tamera Lloyd (AL), Ta Williams, Netra Gilliam, Shawnta Carmichael, Lakesha Gilliam, Zoey Olds, Veronica Gilliam, Justin Green (Tiara) and Brittney (Pastel). She is also survived by great great grandchildren, her loyal church family, nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM and on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace North (2500 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43211). The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace North Plant Trees (2500 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43211). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Evergreen Burial Park.
