He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen J. Owensby Holland and Otis Owensby; and his sister Helen L. Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Owensby; his children, Shanikka Terelle Flinn, Olajuwon Terrell Owensby, Edwin Michael Goins, Otis Sutton and Shanta Sutton; his sisters, Freda C. Robertson and Sylvia Sanders; and his friend Stanley Brockman. He is also survived by grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; and special mention, cousin.
