He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Garrett and Dean Garrett; and his siblings, Dean Garrett and Diane Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Garrett; his children, Jacob Garrett (Elizabeth), Jessica Mills (Andrew) and Juliann Garrett (Mark Bargo); his sister Kelly Cox; and his grandchildren, Elise, Katherine (Anna Garrett), Lolly (Solomon Mills) and Eleanor Bargo.
