He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis D. Bechtold and Alice M.; his brother Peter; and his former wife Sonya. He is survived by: his wife Joyce of Dover; his close friend Channel; his brother William L. of Columbus; and his stepsons, Scot Williamson (Donna) of Bridgeville, Rex Williamson (Pam) of Harrington and Rob Arnold (Patricia) of North Attleboro. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Funeral Home of Michael J Ambruso (1175 S State St, Dover, DE 19901). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery (26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966).
