He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Faye and William Henry Shannon; and his stepgranddaughter Kaitlyn Hatem. He is survived by: his former wife Linda Newsom; his children, Bob Shannon (Julie) and Kelly Cable (Eric); his grandchildren, Bailey Sims (Ryan), Cassidy Parker (Shane) and Austin Cable; his great grandchildren, Maple and Ruby; his brother James Shannon; and his children, James, Kathy and Christine.
