He was predeceased by: his parents, Buell Fillinger and Martha Fillinger; his siblings, Keith Fillinger and Susan; and his brother-in-law Paul Fjelsted.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Fillinger; his daughter Christine Barclay; his granddaughter Lauren Barclay; his sister Sharon Stockhausen (Chuck); and his sisters-in-law, Gail Fillinger and Paula Schuh (Richard).
