He is survived by: his daughter Paula Newsome (Eric); his grandson Evan Newsome (Ashante); his siblings, Don Preece (Gay), Mary Sammons, Kay Moore and Betty Bowers (Dwight); his nieces, Sheila Frey (Kevin) and Bobbie Wallace (Marvin); and his pet Ellie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
