She was predeceased by: her parents, John Russell Compton and Margie Kleiner (Slaughter); and her brother James Compton. She is survived by: her husband Michael Byrum; her children, Andrew Byrum, Jill Miller (Garry), Daniel Byrum (Bridgot) and Paul Byrum; and her nieces, Darla Abtin and Windie Compton. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
