He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Glende and Ruth Glende; his brother-in-law Marvin Schaetzke; his nephew Paul Brug; Jacob and Jean Brug.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Glende; his sons, Tim Glende (Holly), Tom Glende (Susan) and Andy Glende (Lauren); his grandchildren, Miranda Flunker (Zachary), Noah Glende (Lindsay), Simeon Glende, Charis Glende, Solideo Glende, Petros Glende, Jillian Glende and Jacob Glende; his great grandchildren, Ada Flunker and Jaylen Flunker; his sisters, Naomi Schaetzke and Rachel Scharlemann (Jon); and his brother-in-law John Brug (Irene). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church which will be designated in his honor to be used for St. Paul's Carpet Replacement Fund.
