She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dorn and Nettie Brinkley Dorn; and her husband William D. "Bill" Lester. She is survived by: her children, Tyrone D. Lester (Terry A.), Candie K. Lester of Columbus, OH, Helen R. Lester-Smith (J. Frazier) of Cincinnati, OH and Barbara M. Larkin of Cincinnati; her grandchildren, Ryan Douglas Larkin, Kyle Patrick Lester, Aaron Frazier Smith (Alanna), Adrian Robert William Smith (Katie), Avery Nichelle Larkin (Darien) and Sydney Renee Larkin; her great grandchildren, Freya and Vaeda Smith; her brother Roosevelt Dorn (Joyce) of Inglewood, CA; and her close friends, Mary Ehret, Martha Trent, Herb Hoosier, Lois, Norm Kruckenberg, Gary and Noredia Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ware Funeral Home (121 W 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (6899 Smoky Row Rd, Columbus, OH 43235).
